Quality Expectations

U-M’s participation in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), which is key to its ability to offer online education in other states, requires adherence to the Council of Regional Accrediting Commissions’s (C-RAC) Distance Education Guidelines and offers students an additional forum to bring complaints where they believe these guidelines are not being followed. Note that there is a non-exhaustive list of examples for demonstrating compliance are provided in the description for each of nine “hallmarks” contained within the C-RAC Guidelines.
